DogVacay Founders

Co-founded by husband/wife Aaron Hirschhorn & Karine Nissim Hirschhorn, after battling their own dog sitting issues, when away on travel. DogVacay connects dog owners and experienced caregivers, to provide a far better boarding “vacation” for your pooch!

The company was available only in Los Angeles and San Francisco, but with some funding from Benchmark Capital and other investors, now has grown nationwide with a eye towards international expansion.

Finding a DogVacay Host

My name is Earl!
Rates start at $15/night compared with the average $35.00 in my area. What we like the most about the service, is your dog can stay in a real house environment, free from the Kennel Caged option! When we checked there were 33 hosts in our area.

DogVacay Hosts

Dog Owners, why not make money doing what you already do now with your dog! DogVacay allows hosts to set the rates, schedules & which dogs to host. And as mentioned above complimentary insurance with 24/7 support. DogVacay takes 15% fee only on a successful booking.

If you are a professional dog sitter you can list other services you provide like dog walking or training. And DogVacay will pay you $10 bucks to promote yourself(when a new customer uses the service), plus $10 bucks off for your new clients.

DogVacay has managed to add a better dog boarding option for owners and pay out over 1 million to dog sitters last year. With 78 million dog owners in the U.S. and 4.5 billion spent on boarding, there is more opportunity for dog lovers to make money doing what they love!

Have a dog boarding experience owner or host? We love to hear about it. As always have a great day on purpose….
