I have often thought that having some kind of job where you work with dogs would be the ultimate way to earn a living. Wouldn’t you agree?
If you are like me then you get along better with pets than you do with people. Pets don’t talk back to you. They don’t belittle you. They are always happy to see you. They are mischievous and fun to be around.
Personally I would prefer to work with dogs. Some of the other weird pets that people have are not my cup of tea.
How many careers are out there where you can work with dogs though? I have a friend who is a dog groomer. Her job is pretty neat. How much fun would it be if you were good enough to compete in a competition for the best looking dog like the ones where the dogs are painted all different colors? That looks like a lot of fun if you ask me.
Most of the people I talk to about this suggest I look into being a veterinarian. The thing about being a veterinarian is that you have to go through a pretty tough school to get your degree. I heard they have some vet schools in the Caribbean. That would be cool. Unfortunately I do not have the funds for that sort of thing. I am not entirely sure I would make it through that kind of high level university study either.
I suppose a more practical option would be working at a pet store. I really doubt that people who work at pet stores make very much money though. Maybe the owner does if the store is really successful. Building a successful business is probably a little more challenging than I am up for at this point in my life. I would be happier being a regular employee I think.
